The mass burial which had earlier been scheduled to hold Today June 17 in honour of the congregants who lost their lives to the cold hands of death by unknown gunmen.
Dejoymedia had earlier reported on June 5 that some unknown gunmen invaded the St. Francis Catholic church in owo during a Sunday Mass. It was reported that about 40persons lost their lives to this insane massacre.
Interests have been shown From all walks of live to ensure that the perpetrators of this gruesome act are brought to book.
Since the gory incidence in June 5, OWO has been receiving sympathisers from all over the country. Many dignitaries have visited the site of incidence especially, the palace located close to the church. The president, vice president, senate President, speaker of the house of representatives, governors, elder state men , royalties to mention but a few have registered their displeasure of the horrible event.
Security operatives have been deployed to the area of incidence to ensure they fish out the perpetrators. Also, security has been beefed up in the state and neighbouring states as all the south west Governors are not ready to leave anything to chance. The local security operatives- AMOTEKUN has been instructed to do more in averting such occurrence again.
We sympathize with the family of the victims, the good people of OWO town and the people of Ondo State in general as they bury their loved ones today.
