President Tinubu expressed deep concern over the incident, emphasizing the need for a swift and thorough identification of those responsible. He specifically denounced the involvement of illegal miners and called for their prompt identification and punishment.

In his message of condolence to Oyo State, President Tinubu urged all relevant agencies to conduct thorough investigations into the circumstances surrounding the explosion.
