So the former Minister of Defence, Abubakar Badaru granted an interview to the BBC Hausa Service on November 26 ,2025 at the height of Upsurge in banditry and terrorism and serial abduction of school girls and other people and he claimed that the whereabouts of the terrorists were known but ‘Our bombs cannot reach them.”

“I assure you that our soldiers are working day and night to see how they can deal with this.”

The interview was so damaging that Pressure began to mount on Aso Rock to repair the irreparable damage caused by complicity or sheer incompetence. Eventually he got a soft landing via resignation
