President Bola Tinubu made significant appointments to his media advisory team on Monday.
Among them is Fela Durotoye, the 2019 Alliance for New Nigeria presidential candidate, who now serves as Senior Special Assistant to the President for National Values & Social Justice.
Fredrick Nwabufo, a journalist and communications specialist, assumes the role of Senior Special Assistant to the President for Public Engagement. Meanwhile, Linda Akhigbe, formerly Channels Television’s Senate correspondent, now holds the position of Senior Special Assistant to the President for Strategic Communications, with an additional role as Communications Adviser to the President of the ECOWAS Commission.
Aliyu Audu, Chairman of the APC Rebirth, a pressure group in the All Progressives Congress, takes on the role of Special Assistant to the President for Public Affairs. Additionally, Francis Abah joins as Personal Assistant to the President for Special Duties.
These appointments align with Tinubu’s commitment to the principles of Nigeria’s federal character and meritocracy. The President emphasizes the importance of upholding the highest standards of decorum and decency in engagements with the public.
