Philosopher Temisan Ebijuwa Urges Africans to Shape Their Destiny Amid Societal Challenges

Renowned philosopher and Pioneer Dean at Ladoke Akintola University of Technology, Professor Temisan Ebijuwa, highlighted the disconnect between Africans and the state, attributing it to uneven resource distribution.

He emphasized the widening wealth gap as a source of societal challenges, including kidnapping, banditry, and ethnic conflicts. Delivering a lecture titled “Sartrean Existentialism And Yoruba Philosophy,” Ebijuwa stressed the impact of individual choices on reshaping destinies.

The professor lamented a decline in intellectual inquiry within universities, linking it to the focus on survival amid political challenges.

In his remarks, the acting Vice Chancellor, Professor R. O. Rom Kalilu represented by Professor Ogunleye Olaosebikan, stated that the faculty is breaking significant records in the institution and setting the ball rolling for more academic excellence.
