The Chairman of the Board of Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC), Professor Adeolu Akande has described the Olubadan of Ibadanland, Oba Lekan Masud Balogun as a first class Monarch with progressive ideas and a lover of youths.
This was expressed through a statement released in Abuja today congratulating the OLUBADAN on his 80th birthday celebration.
Professor Akande stated that he joins millions of the indigenes of Ibadan in particular and Oyo State in general to felicitate with the monarch on this landmark attainment.
He described Oba Balogun as a pride to all who have known him and pray that God will continue to bless him with good health for him to achieve the lofty dreams he has for Ibadanland and Oyo State.
“My association with Kabiyesi for over 30 years leaves me in no doubt that he will make his mark as Olubadan of Ibadanland.His progressive ideas and love for the youth are unparalleled.
His devotion to decency in public life and patriotism to the country are legendary. I wish Kabiyesi many more years in the service of Ibadanland,Oyo State and Nigeria as a whole.
