This was disclosed by the Hon. Federal Commissioner of the Commission for Oyo State, Asiwaju Folawiyo Lakan during a courtesy visit to the Oyo State Judiciary and received by the Hon Chief Judge Munta Abimbola.

According to the Commissioner, the commission which was created by law in 1975 is charged with the responsibility of redressing administrative injustice, various abuses, and corruption amongst others in accordance with the Act that established it.

Under the Act, he said further than the body has the power to summon, access all information necessary for the performance of its duty, investigate administrative procedure of any court of law, while working independently, yet with the cooperation of the judiciary in the execution of the listed, and other powers conferred on it.

The Chief Judge in his brief remarks commended the commission in his approach to carrying out its functions according to the law setting it up, adding that the visit has opened the door of opportunities for cordial interactions towards making the work of the commission effective and impactful on the society. While the Administrative Judge, Hon. Justice Yerima assured the commission that the judiciary will always extend expeditious treatment to all cases filed by the body as it’s being done for other similar agencies.

The Commissioner was accompanied by Mrs Janet Oluwatoyin Abiola who is the State Director of Investigation amongst others.
