A medical practitioner and founder of the Give us Our Daily Bread foundation, Kole Akintujoye, has been named the winner of the 2023 Global Recognition Award for his unwavering commitment towards ending hunger and touching the lives of many.
A statement on the award organisation’s website read in part, “Give Us Our Daily Bread’s success would not have been possible without the strong leadership of Kole Akintujoye, who has been instrumental in guiding its efforts to advance this critical cause. Under Kole’s direction, the organisation has shown dedication and commitment to every aspect of their work. Ultimately, it is with great pride that we bestow a 2023 Global Recognition Award upon the organisation.”
Speaking on how he feels about the award, Akintujoye said, “First, I thank God for this chance. Hunger eradication is our goal, and I believe that with the necessary help, we will succeed. I have experienced hunger before, so I understand how it feels. I felt obligated to join the fight to eradicate poverty, and we are making huge progress. This recognition is just the start. I believe more will follow until we have a world without hunger. The results are clear; some people no longer go to bed hungry as a result of our impact on their lives. This will motivate many individuals throughout the globe to take action to raise the standard of living in their communities and join the fight against hunger.”
