The committee was introduced by Segun Fowora, the Special Adviser/Director General of the Bureau of Lands and Survey. Its primary objective is to collaborate closely with security agencies to effectively uphold both government and private property rights. Fowora underscored the importance of the committee’s role in reducing the prevalence of land grabbers, safeguarding the interests of investors, and maintaining law and order.

This initiative is set to encourage the resolution of disputes through legal channels rather than resorting to violent means. Notably, Fowora revealed that the state’s House of Assembly is currently in the process of amending relevant legal provisions to address recent developments. The aim is to establish comprehensive measures exclusively targeting the activities of land grabbers and imposing substantial penalties on those found guilty of such activities.

Fatai Adeboyejo, the Head of Enforcement for the Task Force, expressed a strong sense of responsibility for the task at hand and assured that the team members are fully committed to their assigned duties.
