Furthermore, Lawal urged leaders in the zone to work together synergistically and devise a comprehensive plan to swiftly address the security challenges faced by the region. This collaborative approach is crucial to tackling the issue effectively.

The Oke-Ogun Zone II comprises several local governments, namely Olorunsogo, Oorelope, Irepo, Saki West, Saki East, and Atisbo. Lawal stressed the importance of these local governments coming together to create a security strategy that encompasses and addresses the security concerns of the entire zone.

Shifting the discussion to budget preparation, the deputy governor highlighted the critical role of the budgetary system in a democracy. He emphasized the need to consult with the people before initiating any budget preparation, as it is an essential component of true democracy.

Adding to the conversation, Prof. Adetunji Babatunde, the Commissioner for Budget, underlined the importance of engagement in crafting a meaningful budget. The purpose of the engagement meeting was to facilitate this collaborative process.

The meeting, chaired by Deputy Governor Bayo Lawal, attracted the participation of various political officeholders from the state, making it a comprehensive and inclusive platform for addressing these significant matters.
