Ogun State Government, under the leadership of Governor Dapo Abiodun, has given the green light for the immediate recruitment of 1,000 teachers to address the shortage in primary and secondary schools. The governor made this announcement during the 2023 Teachers’ Day celebration in Abeokuta.

In addition to this initiative, there are plans to engage 2,000 teachers in the teacher’s internship program, aimed at further narrowing the teaching service gap in the state. Governor Abiodun emphasized the commitment to reducing the teachers-to-students ratio in classrooms and expressed gratitude for the support of teachers in the recent governorship poll.
