The Organised Labour clarified that it has not received any court order halting the ongoing nationwide strike that commenced on Tuesday.

Accusing the government of disregarding court orders while insisting on adherence to judicial rulings, TUC President Festus Osifo highlighted the government’s non-compliance during the Emefiele case.

Osifo stated that once they receive a court order, they will consult their legal team for a decision.

The Nigeria Labour Congress and TUC initiated the strike on November 14, 2023, in response to an assault on NLC President Joe Ajaero.

Despite a court order to halt the strike, workers in various states participated, affecting government-owned facilities.

The strike resulted in partial compliance in some regions, with certain workers choosing to continue their regular duties.
