During the presentation, Oba Olaoye stressed the importance of hospital specialization for economic growth and the development of medical tourism.

He encouraged the management of the teaching hospital to focus on specific areas within the medical field to attract funding and professionals.

Oba Olaoye conveyed his vision during a meeting with the hospital’s management, sharing a 25-year development plan.

He sees specialization as a means to draw patients from across the country, contributing to the local economy and the medical tourism value chain.

Acknowledging the efforts of the Ogbomoso First Group (O’ First Group), the monarch appreciated their consistent dedication to the development of Ogbomoso.

He recognized their role in supporting the community and encouraged other socio-cultural groups to follow suit.

The President of Ogbomoso First Group, Sir Olusegun Adekunle, explained that the donation aligns with the group’s commitment to serving the people of Ogbomoso.

He emphasized the importance of enhancing the technical capacities of the city’s medical institutions.

Over the past three years, the O-First Group has supported local hospitals with vital equipment, including ventilators, oxygen concentrators, and PPEs, especially during the peak of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Their collaboration with medical institutions has extended to organizing medical outreaches to serve underserved citizens.

The Chief Medical Director, Dr. David Akintayo Olaolohun, expressed gratitude for the donation.

He assured responsible use and proper maintenance of the equipment, emphasizing the positive impact it would have on the hospital’s ability to deliver quality services to the community.
