Meanwhile, Governor Seyi Makinde presented the preliminary report of the explosion to President Bola Tinubu over the weekend. Bamgbose expressed concerns about the missing individuals, urging the government to intensify efforts to locate them.

The News Agency of Nigeria reported that the Bodija Estate Residents Association (BERA), an umbrella body for all communities in Bodija, also called for massive assistance to aid victims of the explosion in returning to normalcy.

BERA highlighted the necessity for continuous care and support for victims whose lives had drastically changed since the incident.

In a related development, members of the Board of Trustees of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) visited Governor Makinde on Wednesday to convey their condolences.

Led by Chairman Senator Adolphus Wabara, the delegation commended Makinde for his prompt response to the incident. Wabara called for a thorough investigation to uncover the cause of the incident and prevent future occurrences.

In response, Governor Makinde appreciated the visit, describing it as encouraging and indicating the body’s concern for his government.

He highlighted the humanitarian aspect of the situation, especially regarding affected children who should be in school.

Makinde expressed gratitude for the support and encouragement, pledging his commitment to the unity and strength of the PDP.
