Pa Amos Akande, father of Prof Adeolu Akande, former Chairman, Board of Nigeria communications commission, reportedly passed away this evening, Tuesday, September 2, 2025.
According to a terse statement released this evening by Hon Adisa Adeniji, former Chairman, Itesiwaju local government, on behalf of the family, he stated: “With a heavy heart but with gratitude and total submission to the will of God Almighty, we announce the passing on to glory of … Pa Amos Akande, father of Prof Adeolu Akande”. The unfortunate incident happened a couple of hours ago.”
The statement ended with prayer for the repose of the soul of the departed.
