Full text of his Remarks:
“Distinguished ladies and gentlemen, traditional rulers, party faithful, and most importantly, our vibrant graduate youths.
Today marks the culmination of the two days of intensive learning, reflection, and commitment to a better future for Saki West, Saki East, and ATISBO Federal Constituency. We gather not only to close this training but to mark the beginning of a renewed chapter in youth participation in governance and nation-building.
Let me begin by expressing profound gratitude to the Director General of the Institute for Governance and Leadership Studies in Africa, who also serves as the Director General of The Progressive Institute, the first think tank unit of the All Progressives Congress in sub-Saharan Africa. Your presence here underscores the seriousness with which our party treats ideas, policy, and the intellectual development of our people.
I also extend my sincere appreciation to the National Chairman of our great party, the All Progressives Congress, Prof. N. G. Yilwatda, for his visionary leadership and unwavering dedication to strengthening the structures of the APC across every level. And to our own State Chairman, His Excellency Chief Moses Alake Adeyemo, thank you for your steady guidance and for ensuring that Oyo State remains a pillar of progressive politics.
This training was conceived with a clear purpose: to equip our graduate youths with the knowledge, values, and practical skills needed to lead with integrity and to govern with accountability. Leadership is not a title. It is responsibility. And governance is not a privilege for a few, but a duty we all share if our society is to progress. The sessions over the past two days have laid a foundation for that responsibility, and I have no doubt that you, our participants, will carry it forward into your communities.

Alongside this training, we are honoring selected personalities with fellowship awards. These are individuals whose lives exemplify service, excellence, and commitment to the common good. They are role models not because they seek recognition, but because their actions inspire others to act. By celebrating them today, we are telling our youth that character and contribution still matter.
As a member of the All Progressives Congress and an aspirant for the House of Representatives in 2027, I reaffirm our party’s promise of renewed hope to the people of this constituency and to Nigeria at large. Renewed hope means opportunity for the youth, transparency in governance, and development that reaches every ward and household. It means building institutions that work and leaders that serve.
To all our guests, traditional leaders, party stakeholders, facilitators, and participants who have made this event a success, I offer my deepest appreciation. Your presence affirms that the future of this constituency is a shared responsibility, and that together we can raise a generation of leaders who will govern with wisdom and serve with humility.
Thank you, and may this finale be the spark for greater engagement and progress in our land.”
Signed,
*Hon. Ismail Adewoyin PhD
