Former Nigeria’s Ambassador to the Philippines, H.E. Dr Yemi Farounbi, in a birthday tribute to Barr Akeem Agbaje; a top Oyo Governorship Aspirant on the platform of All Progressives Congress Party, has described his journey as, “a life dedicated to the pursuit of justice and betterment of society, …emblematic of the Nigerian spirit – resilient, erudite and unwavering in the face of adversity”.
This was conveyed through a statement from his Foundation – The Yemi Farounbi Colloquium, and personally signed by His Excellency, the Tribute reads:
“As the sun rises over the ancient city of Ibadan, casting its golden hues upon the venerable walls of Ayeye Compound, we reflect in spirit and in thought to celebrate a man whose life is a testament to the enduring virtues of integrity, wisdom, and service – Barrister Abdul Akeem Adedeji Agbaje.
In the grand tapestry of Nigerian history, where the threads of tradition and modernity intertwine, there emerge figures whose lives illuminate the path for generations yet unborn. Barrister Agbaje stands among these luminaries, a scion of the noble Agbaje dynasty, whose roots delve deep into the fertile soil of Ibadan’s illustrious past. Like the great rivers that nourish the land, his lineage flows from the wellspring of Chief Salami Agbaje, a paragon of industriousness and vision, and Abdul Mojeed Agbaje, the pioneering legal mind whose footsteps echo in the corridors of justice.
