Ondo State Governor, Mr. Oluwarotimi Akeredolu (SAN), has resumed work after returning from a three-month medical vacation in Germany.
In a statement by his Chief Press Secretary, Mr. Richard Olatunde, Akeredolu confirmed his return to the country and expressed his readiness to begin work. He had previously transferred power to his deputy, Mr. Lucky Aiyedatiwa, before leaving for Germany.
The governor met with political stakeholders, including members of the State Assembly, Executive Council, National Assembly members, and the APC State Working Committee in Ibadan. Akeredolu expressed gratitude for the prayers and support he received during his absence and pledged to resume work immediately.
He is expected to return to the state soon to continue his duties.
However, the state’s PDP chapter criticized his choice to return to Ibadan instead of Ondo State, accusing him of relocating the government to the Oyo State capital.
